04/30/2014 this car is turn key but has interior stripped out and steering wheel off so can't be driven will have to be towed or trailered, it can be started but at this stage can't be test driven.
I have my 1972 Corvette clean title, current reg. I bought this car as a project now have to part with it due to property purchase, the fella I got it from spent countless hours with this car doing upgrades he did some bird cage repairs by the windshield and they came out good as new windshield fit great, he replaced rusted frame with a newer Corvette frame and cut access holes to get to frame bushing in bird cage as seen in pics, also begin to reinforce frame and control arms front cross member he reinforced to make it very solid. he took out the factor block with vin stamp in deck and had it rebuilt block cleaned new brass freeze plugs installed mild cam and heads reworked replaced it and added a T5 from a 90's Z-28 with the tilted trans mount so it was a little pain to install trans mount but I have one mounted, new 11 inch clutch still uses z-bar linkage, new driveshaft with new joints and new thick halfshafts with new joints and grade 8 hardware, he had to stop due to financial hardship and thats when I came in the picture, I owned a few Corvettes but never one with a 5 speed so I took it on he started the car up with push start and he drove onto my trailer I got it home and begin taking all the parts he gave me out of the car. so first I wanted to get more power out of the car so I added side pipes, and wanted to do cam and head swap but the motor sounded so smooth I didn't want to take it apart so I bought a supercharger B&M 144 and bought a used L-88 hood and started to put it all together, so the motor is turn key (it fires right up with the push start but thats whereIi stopped I have to let it go as the wife keeps telling me that I have no time for it. so I have clean CA title in my name paid 700 dollars to reg it (it was not no opped) so I have clean title and current reg and plates in my name so that where I stopped and the wife is right I really don't have time for it car comes with a lot of parts to finish I have the seats and all interior parts in garage.
frame and suspension all coated black new 15x8 rallys with 245-60-15 front and 275-60-15 drag radials in back I have went thur all brakes and they all work, I have striped interior completely and installed new windshield, body needs some tlc and floor seat mounts need to be reinstalled have them it needs work but it will be a nice car if in the right hands, I have the rear lights and bumpers off because I was going to send it to body and paint but things have came up and I want be able to finish it right.
